The federal budget announced that the paper money of Canada, today a base of cotton paper, printed on a polymer disc, starting next year. The new banknotes will probably feel different, but should last longer and provide a production economy in the Bank of Canada. The new legislation also includes new security features. OTTAWA – The old question of money or plastic is becoming irrelevant because the money is essentially plastic, too.
