(Although they will continue to make them, as evidenced by New York Congressman Peter King’s Sunday night attempt to claim that it was George W. Republican claims that the president is soft on security, uncommitted to the war or terror, or simply too inclined toward diplomacy to “get the job done,” will ring hollower. Bush who deserved the real credit for Osama’s demise.).

Indeed, Al Qaeda has slaughtered scores of Muslims in many countries, including our own. So his demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity.”. Bin Laden was not a Muslim leader; he was a mass murderer of Muslims. I’ve made clear, just as President Bush did shortly after 9/11, that our war is not against Islam. As terrorism experts discussed “one of the great anti-terror initiatives” in recent American history—and thousands of young people swarming outside the White House waving American flags and chanting “USA! USA!” and crowds surrounded the Ground Zero site in New York—Obama restated themes that have been constants of his presidency. For instance, he declared that: “[We] must also reaffirm that the United States is not—and never will be—at war with Islam.

Plenty of analysts—Democrats, to be sure, but nonpartisan players, as well, and perhaps even a few Republicans—will give the president credit for having accomplished what Bush did not. But it will play well politically. Expect a poll boost for the president. This sort of talk may unsettle the most ardent neocons.

Ultimately, in times of economic instability, foreign policy coups are less definitional than strategists imagine. But it would be silly to imagine that an era of good feeling about Obama ushered in at this point will continue unhindered through the November 2012 election. Bush, traded 91 percent approval ratings in 1991 for defeat at the hands of Democrat Bill Clinton in 1992. The markets were surging Monday, and may continue to do so in the short term. Remember that the presidential “hero” of the first Gulf War, George H.W.

Bush’s political czar, Karl Rove, did for his boss in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, but not with any less intent to capitalize on an opportunity to spin “national unity” and “good feeling” into political gold. And his political team will not hesitate to play this moment out—perhaps in a more dignified manner than did George W. That said, the essential image of Obama as “presidential” has by most political measures gotten a boost.

If by presumptuous, you mean failing to observe the limits of what is permitted or appropriate, I ask you who decides what is permitted or appropriate in political discourse or struggle. I see no value in restraint or modesty when arguing against imperialism, fascism and wolves in sheep clothing. If by “presumptuous” you mean lacking restraint or modesty, I plead guilty. I believe that some, at the time, some thought King’s Dream to be presumptuous. I believe that some, at the time, thought the Declaration of Independence to be presumptuous. I am not comparing my humble comments here on these blogs with those great writings; I only wish to point out that presumption depends upon whose side you are on.

It seems to me that President Obama can do several things at once. 2a) This one is truly special in light of the events leading up to bin Laden’s death. Trump at the little party they both attended all the while knowing what was about to take place. It’s the republican version the people hate. The National health Care Plan was in favor by the majority in this country at an approval of 73% before the republicans stripped it of any real teeth. Take for instance his comments he had to D.

1) And Tinman offers up the usual leftist nonsense.2) Bush made the mistake of thinking.3) No president would ever allow an opportunity like that to knowingly escape them.4) That you consider it as fact is beyond stupidity_____________________________________________________________________1a) Larry, Your pathetic recollection of history is so lacking that every time militants like you and joman opine on any subject you are at all times found mistaken.

The question remains: WHY DIDN’T BUSH/CHENEY USE THE SAME INTEL AS OBAMA TO TRACK DOWN THE COURIER TO GET BIN LADEN? Until the right wing is able to answer THIS question then they go into 2012 with ZERO credibility on defense and are exposed as fearmongers that wanted to keep Bin Laden alive to scare voters into voting for their party candidates.

Then put a webcam near the keyboard Livestream Bird activities. Mr. Duduma was asked what "his" birds say if only they could communicate with them? A filmmaker and writer on art of the only weekly magazine in Latvia, Mr. Duduma decided to find out. He created a computer keyboard and outdoor pieces of bacon grease on each key. Added to each key screw his birds could provide enough pressure to push, and pecking fat.

This account of live birds, singing tweet messages "to the world. The keyboard is connected to a computer that sends the birds pecking activity in bold on its own Twitter account, @ hungry_birds. The hungry birds, attracted by lard (which gives a lot of energy to survive the bitter cold), land on your keyboard to chop the keys.

Am I to mark the entrance area to the "smell" of saliva as a marker terrotorial?. They did it on and off for about a month and last year the same. Go off on a tangent, but can someone tell me why blue tits that make their home in the box in my garden birds spend so much time picking at the entrance.

We'll call it up. We will have the debate on the floor of the Senate or the floor of the House. But don't try to sneak this through.'". About the GOP attempts to de-fund Planned Parenthood, the president said he told Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, was "'You guys want to have this debate? Were happy to have that debate. Put it in a separate bill. And if you think you can overturn my veto, try it.

Were trying to figure out how to move America forward.'". I think there are some folks who feel very strongly about it. "The interesting thing actually is how little traction these social issues are getting these days," the president said. "I just think the country is moved into a different place. Were not worried about what women are doing in terms of maintaining their health. But a lot of these hot button cultural issues, I think theres a generational change taking place in part where people say, 'You know what, we may have disagreement about his, but this is not what were worried about. Were not worried about the gay family next door.

What Obama does is much more insidious. Inflaming politics is not leadership, it is blind ambition. He is attempting to inflame his political base at a time when leadership is needed. There should be no doubt that his goal is to get elected, rather than solve this country's problems.

Are we supposed to believe that Obama is so confused that he thinks that current economic conditions are so good that we can "afford" to raise taxes again?. Raising taxes will not solve the problem of economic growth either. Obama said that the repeal of the tax hikes he signed last year was to improve economic growth.

The only sleaze is those who are too stupid to read and research to find truth and get lost in their ideological ignorance, racism amd biased visions, which will lead us to becoming a third world nation. Get your heads out of you a–es and stop being brainwashed by the Right-Wing Media!. Wake up people! We are the laughing stock of the civilized world.

What he said was a watered down version of the real truth, which is that the Republicans are clueless, mean spirited and disrespectable to the poor and truly needy and don't really give a damn if this country suceeds or fails as long as there is a bi-racial, so-called Black president. So what if the mike was on, not on, soundbite or whatever. Pettiness abounds around this issue, in the guise of real issues, which the republicans have not one workablke idea that will solve our nation's problems.

Either way–it's the truth that we all KNOW out here and it's great to hear the President say it. Great! The TRUTH is a good thing to hear, whether "scripted" as the Republicans say–they would know since they are soooo good at it.or if it were off the cuff. The new Poster Boy of "Compassionate(to their wealthy buddies) Conservatism" is trying to still push. The Reverselican Hoods–Take from the poor to give to the rich.Republicans can't win the economy argument, as usual and that's why they resort to creating Drama around issues like guns, birth, religion, abortion, race.it's all they can count on to move the people who are clueless about economics and how it truly affects them to vote for Republicans.

So again.I don't think I understand your point? Kind of sounded like a "soundbite" to me. Swoosie.LOL.So what is your point? I see a leader who thinks things through with vision and two or three steps down the road. And let's see.if I remember this "controlling, all about me" indidvidual he did defeat a very strong and powerful primary opponent (Hillary Clinton" by.being in control, being professional.and an excellent campaign LEADER. Not 'emotional, gut" decisions (like W) that have many negative repercussions that exist after he is gone.

Democrats dont hate the rich many left minded Americans ARE rich. Conservatives dismiss polls like this one and frame demands for tax rate changes as class warfare or class envy. What we object to is paying for an accumulated national debt ONLY on the shoulders of the poor, veterans, handicapped, the elderly, and working class. That is simply not true.

President Obama is a street wise, hardened politician from a teeming neighborhood in Chicago. I don't think that any of this will be fuel for hurting him in 2012. On the other hand, many Left leaning Liberals do not realize and see him as a double espresso toting mild mannered philosopher king attending a San Francisco fundraiser. My central point is not negative. Most Americans may not know his personality behind closed doors. The vast majority of the time he seems collegiate and well heeled. This President can duke it out if the situation calls for that. He knows politics and although seldom can get tough if he has to.

The financial sector was almost literally in an instant to destroy the world, but even if only a few months to close ranks with Republicans and the wealthy to avoid that something is seriously done to reduce them, but the financial sector has escaped almost free. For me it is the economic collapse of 2008 that he did. E 'shocking. If this does not change the opinion of who really runs the world, I do not know why. Years ago, I remember that many moderate liberals talk about how the Bush era has radicalized. The benefits are back, the new regulations are a bit more of a bedroom window, but nothing has been done to help homeowners under water, the bonds are obscene than ever, unemployment remains high heaven, and the public was somehow convinced that it was all their fault – or perhaps because of large deficits and large government, or something.

CSPI wants to put to rest the idea that corn syrup is squeezed from corn sugar. According to the "high fructose corn syrup is made mainly by soaking the corn to extract starch from corn, and the use of enzymes to convert starch into glucose and fructose .."

I say just get rid of the ingredients of everything. I have two children who are allergic to wheat, it is hard to find things for them that have "high fructose corn" in it. Just follow with sugar, of course. It does not change the fact that it is wheat. A mother of four children, I am wary of buying anything with corn in the long run will make things much easier to read when you go to the supermarket and find products that do not have horns on them. More people are becoming allergic to corn. Why is the word itself.

As explained by Jonathan Bernstein, there is no doubt that Huckabee not literally supports the idea that Obama was not born in the United States, encouraging comments from the point of view "that Barack Obama is not a real American" – a feeling that is so difficult in Ok, now that most Republicans birtherism essentially relied on a recent survey. There is also the problem of how to allow comments sentiment birth Huckabee.

The threat is that the comment caused such a scandal that cost the Republicans are now beginning to see Huckabee as more and more see Sarah Palin: A person like that, but not to return to the presidency. Assuming Huckabee stops flowing theories about the roots of anti-Western philosophy of Obama, which is probably all right. This, in turn, should prevent significant damage to Huckabee in the Republican Party position. In the recent survey showed birth, there is no real risk that the comments caused a real reaction Huckabee among Republicans.
